International Film Festival of Kerala is a yearly event organized by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy. It is conducted in Thiruvananthapuram, on behalf of the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala. Highlights of the festival include contemporary world cinema, new Malayalam cinema, retrospectives of major filmmakers, homage and tributes, modern Indian cinema, short films and documentaries. Seminars are also conducted on important issues related to cinema.
