Set up by the Government of Karnataka in association with ICICI, the Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB) promotes new developments in the field of biotech industry and undertakes research and development in bioinformatics and other related areas.
Located at Bangalore, the institute offers post graduate diploma course in bioinformatics and biotechnology, short-term training programs, and six month certificate course in bio-techniques. The courses comprise lectures, practical training in the areas of basic biology, computer science, statistics and bioinformatics, seminars, journal clubs and group discussions.
