Indian Institute of Science (IISc), set up in 1909 by J N Tata, is among the oldest research institutes in India. It is located in a quite corner of Malleswaram, Bangalore.
The Institute has more than forty academic departments pursuing research in different areas of science and engineering. It offers various courses in biological sciences, chemical sciences, electrical sciences, mechanical sciences, physical and mathematical sciences and information sciences.
The college frequently organizes group discussions and seminars. It has a multimedia lab and a library with wide collection of journals and textbooks.
