Established in 1993, the Indian Institute of Plantation Management, Bangalore
, acts as an intellectual resource base for agricultural business and plantation sector. It caters to the soaring needs of the sector through a variety of programs on management training and research.
The courses conducted by the Institute include Short Term Executive Programmes (STEPs) and a one-year postgraduate diploma course in plantation management. The Institute also facilitates action-based research and postdoctoral programs. It undertakes consultancy assignments and actively participates in inter-institutional programs for exchange of scholars.
