Founded in 1983 in
Aurangabad, Indian Academy of Acupuncture strives to propagate the art of acupuncture throughout India. It is recognized by United Nations Peace University.
Affiliated to International Open University of Complimentary Medicines, Srilanka, the institute offers national and international courses on acupuncture. It imparts training on basic and advanced Chinese medicine and cosmetic acupressure. Research facilities are also made available.
Dr Lohiya Acupuncture Treatment and Research Center within the academy offers treatments such as electro acupuncture, bekam therapy, catgut embedding therapy and plum blossom therapy.
