Also known as Pompei Church, Immaculate Conception Church of Urwa Parish is situated in a valley bounded on the east by hills, west by the
Arabian Sea, on the North by the Kulur River and the
Netravati tributary on the south. The new church stands firmly with a beautiful small shrine at its side. Our lady of Immaculate Conception is the Patroness of this parish. Large crowds congregate on the feast of Our Lady of Pompei (popularly called ‘Pompei Feast’) held on the first Sunday of December.
