Igguthappadevara Betta




Iggutappa Temple, an important temple for Kodavas of Kodagu Distict, is located near Ayyangeri forest in Padithara valley. Located at Padi near Napoklu in Madikeri taluk, the temple is dedicated to Lord Muruga. The presiding deity is known as Iggutappa. Padi Iggutappa Temple is about 2 km by road from Kakkabe, a small town 35 km from Madikere.

The nearest airport is at Mangalore and the nearby railway stations are Mangalore and Mysore. Direct buses are available from Kasargod, Bangalore, Mysore and Mangalore.
