Idappadi




Idappadi, also spelt as Edappadi, is a taluk headquarters in Salem District of Tamil Nadu. Situated in the western region of the district, this prominent town is around 36 km from Salem and 34 km north-east of Erode.

Bhavani Sangameshwarar Temple, Shri Kailasanathar Temple at Taramangalam, Mettur Dam and Sankakiri Fort are the prominent religious and tourist spots within a 30 km radius.

Places such as Kurichi, Ammapettai, Nerinjippettai, Jalakandapuram, Pulampatti, Talavapatti, Akkammapettai and Sankaridrug are nearby.

Cauvery River has its course through Idappadi.
