Huthridurga




A historical village in Kunigal, Huthridurga offers memories of a bygone era. There is ample opportunity for adventurous trekking. The village is surrounded by an imposing fort with seven rounds of fortifications (Yelu Suttina Kote). One has to climb a steep flight of steps carved on the rock to reach the top of the hill. It has an internal and external doorway. Each door has four pillars, an arch and a ceiling. A temple dedicated to Sankareshwara is also situated at the top of the hill. The village is dotted with the remains of ancient buildings and temples. The views of vast stretches of fields, greenery, tanks and hillocks from the top of the hill will surely entice the visitors.

Huthridurga is easily accessible by road.
