Hoshiarpur District




Hoshiarpur District in Punjab covers an area of about 3,881 sq km. It has both hill and plain region. The district possesses a comparatively cool and humid climate. Rice is the largest growing crop. Cotton fabrics are also manufactured. Sugar, grains, tobacco and indigo are among the export products. Many religious fairs are held at Anandpur and Mukerian. Takhni-Rehmapur Wildlife Sanctuary is worth visiting.
