Hilsa is a taluk headquarters town in the Nalanda District of Bihar. Bihar Sharif, the district headquarters, is 54 km north-west. Nalanda Archeological Museum and Nalanda University are situated near this town. Patna Airport is around 127 km away. Bihar Sharif Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
