High Court of Karnataka is called ‘Attara Kacheri’ in
Kannada. Literally it means ‘eighteen offices/departments’. It is situated opposite the
Vidhana Soudha, at the north-west end of the
Cubbon Park. This Gothic style landmark, built in 1885, is a two storied building of stone and brick. The
State Central Library is situated nearby.
