Henwoods Bungalow is located in the Tyford Tea Estate in Peermade in Idukki District. It was built in 1938 and is situated on the edge of a cliff with panoramic view of meadows and mountains. This country house has attractive interiors which spread from the long front verandah. It has mirror like flooring in coffee brown shade and large spans of glass doors. Accommodation includes two well maintained bedrooms with Victorian style furniture and fireplace. In addition there is a morning room, a living room and a garden. Activities include boating and visit to coffee plantation, Peermade club and Sahyadri Ayurvedic Centre. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is 50 km and Kottayam Railway Station is 85 km away.
