Helem




Helem is the headquarters of Helem revenue circle, in Sonitpur District of Assam. It is bounded by Marangaon (2 km) in the west, Payagam (30 km) in the north, Urao Basti (8 km) and Singlijan (14 km) in the east and Behali (4 km) in the south. Helem is located to the north of the mighty Brahmaputra. Nearby prime attractions are the tea estates at Behali, which produce yellowish bright tea.

Nearest airport and railway station are at Tezpur.
