Hattiangadi

Pattinagara



Hattiangadi, on the northern bank of the Varahi River, is a small village situated about 8 km north-east of Kundapura. It was once the capital of Alupa Kings, who ruled the Tulunadu during 7th and 8th centuries. Hattiangadi is famous for the ancient Siddhi Vinayaka Temple.

The village heralds much archaeological importance, being home to ancient ruined temples, basadis and inscriptions.
