Hateshwari Temple

Hateshwari Temple is one of the highly revered shrines, dedicated to Goddess Hateshwari, in Kinnaur District, Himachal Pradesh.

This temple complex, which dates back to the 7th and 8th centuries, shows a strong Buddhist influence in its architecture. Brahmi script adorning the sanctum sanctorum is yet to be deciphered. The compound also houses a Shiva shrine and a few small temples dedicated to Pandavas. Legends say that the Pandavas had lived here for a while during their exile.
