Harihareshwar Beach

Located in Raigad District of Maharashtra, Harihareshwar Beach is lapped by the waters of the Arabian Sea and the gentle winds and soft sands make this beach an enticing spot. Mumbai is 200 km north of Harihareshwar.

Harihareshwar Beach has two parts, the north part and south. Its sand is not white, but clean and the beach provides solitude, which can give rise to romantic inclinations. Kalbhairav temple complex is a major attraction nearby. One looking for adventure can take a small boat to the north side of the bay and explore a land of the ' Peshwas.' An MTDC resort is located on the southern beach.

The nearest railhead is Mangaon on Konkan Railway. Goregaon, about 60 km away, on Mumbai-Goa highway is a major town nearby.
