Hanuman Garhi is one of the most revered shrine in
Ayodhya and is located in the heart of the city. The temple is approachable by a flight of 76 steps.
This massive structured temple in the shape of a four sided fort with circular bastions at each corner is devoted to the worship of Lord Hanuman. Legend behind this temple is that Hanuman lived here in a cave and guarded Ramkot.
The main temple contains the statue of Goddess Anjana, with Bal Hanuman seated on her lap.
