Hanuman Batika

The centerpiece of Rourkela, Hanuman Batika is an eye-catching garden spread over 13 acres of land, in Sector 4, near the Ring Road.

The prime attraction is a 75 ft tall standing statue of Lord Hanuman - the monkey god. Sculpted by Sri Laxmana Swami, this statue is believed to be the tallest of its kind in the country.

A prominent pilgrimage center, Hanuman Batika enshrines a temple complex with major shrines such as Bata Mangala Mandir, Binayaka Mandir, Santoshi Ma Mandir and Jagannath Mandir. Found at the entrance is the temple of Manas Parayana Sharala. The gate of the temple is noted for its exquisitely carved statues.
