Hansi Fort

Hansi Fort is a ruined structure located at Hansi, one of the most ancient towns in northern India. It stands on Delhi-Hissar road, 24 km south-east of Hissar.

This fort is believed to have been built by Prithviraj Chauhan. Overlooking the town, the fort is still surrounded by a high brick wall with bastions and loop holes. Fifty seven Jain idols of Asthdhatu were found in the premises of the fort during the excavations in 1982.

The nearest railhead, Hansi Railway Station, is on the Sirsa-Bhiwani main line.
