Halle Kote, literally means old fort in
Kannada, is located north-east of
Kundapura.
This hilly place offers splendid views of the surrounding villages and a nearby river. An ancient Chikkamma Temple and a cremation ground are also seen here. Halle Kote and its surroundings are famous for movie shootings. Accommodations are available at a bungalow, run by Karnataka Forest Department.
