Located about 187 ft above sea level, Haldibari is a town in Coochbehar District of West Bengal. It is located on the border of India and Bangladesh.
Haldibari is well connected with neighboring towns such as Kismat Singrod (7 km) in the west, Berubari (10 km) in the north, Darajganj (14 km) in the east and Daikhata (9 km) in the south.
Hujur Saheb Mela is celebrated in Haldibari with much pomp and splendor. It is held annually on the 5th-6th day of the month of Phalgun (February-March), when it is attended by a huge crowd.
By road, Haldibari can be easily approached from Jalpaiguri (20 km) and Coochbehar. Haldibari Railway Station, served by the North Eastern Railways, provides rail access. Coochbehar Airport is the nearest airport.
