Hagnis

Set at an altitude of 10,987 ft, Hagnis is a small town in Kargil District. It is about 189 km from Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir, and is to the east of Kargil.

Shakar Brok (6 km) is in the west, Chomortan (2 km) in the north, Mamor (2 km) in the east and Saraks (11 km) in the south.

Hagnis can be approached on the way towards Leh from Kargil. The nearest railhead is Jammu Tawi Railway Station, which is on the Jammu – Pathankot line.
