Guruwar Peth

Vetal Peth



Located in Pune, Guruwar Peth, also known as Vetal Peth, was established by Jivajipant Khasgiwale during 1730.

Major attraction here is the Vetal Temple, from which the peth derived its name. It is said that Peshwa used to visit the temple. They constructed a big bell in this temple.

Guruwar Peth was also renowned for the elephant fighting shows. Parasnath Temple is a famous Jain pilgrimage centre in this area.
