Guru Shikhar




Boasting a height of 1,722 m, Guru Shikhar is situated at Mount Abu in Sirohi District. It is the highest mountain peak of Mount Abu. From this peak, one can have a panoramic view of the sylvan surroundings of Mount Abu. On the top of the peak, there is a temple dedicated to Guru Dattatreya who is supposed to be an incarnation of Lord Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. Other temples located in this area are the Mira Temple, Chamundi Temple and a small Shaivite shrine on the "Shikhar". Guru Shikhar is around 15 km away from Mount Abu.
