Gursarai is one of the prominent towns in Jhansi District. It is situated by the river Dhasan, a tributary of the Betwa. Jhansi, the district headquarters, lies 70 km west of it.
Todi Fatehpur, a place famous for its fort and beautiful Jain temples, is about 20 km from here. Other places that can be accessed by road from here are Baghera, Garautha and Kakarbai.
