Gurdwara Teg Bahadur Sahib

Gurdwara Tegh Bahadur Sahib is situated at Humayunpur village, on the Ambala- Naraiangarh Road in Patiala District. This Gurdwara is dedicated to Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth guru of the Sikhs.

It is believed that Guru Tegh Bahadur had halted here on his way to Anandpur Sahib. Impressed by the hospitality of his devotee, named Sant Shivcharan Dass and the villagers, the guru blessed this village with prosperity and predicted the construction of the Gurdwara. He further added that whoever prays at this Gurdwara would get his/her wishes fulfilled. Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh guru, also visited this place and repeated the same words of the former guru.

The construction of the Gurdwara Tegh Bahadur Sahib was completed in 1995. This place can be reached by road via the Ambala-Naraiangarh highway. The nearest railway station is at Rajpura.
