Gurdwara Sisganj Sahib




Gurdwara Sisganj Sahib, the site where ninth Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur was cremated, is located at Anandpur Sahib in Rupnagar District. Guru Tegh Bahadur's son and the 10th Sikh Guru, Gobind Singh built a memorial shrine over the ashes of Guru Tegh Bahadur. This two storeyed Gurdwara has a pinnacled dome and the pavement is arranged with Nanakshahi bricks in geometrical patterns. The Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of Sikh, is seated on the inner sanctum. The nearest railhead is at Nangal.
