Gurdwara Paonta Sahib

Gurdwara Paonta Sahib is a famous Sikh pilgrim center situated near Paonta Sahib in Sirmaur District of Himachal Pradesh. It is the place where the holy Guru Gobind Singh spent over 4 years and penned the `Dasam Granth’.

The gurdwara houses the Shri Talab Asthan (where he disbursed salaries), the Shri Dastar Asthan (where he judged the turban-tying competitions) and the Kavi Durbar (the venue of the poetic symposia). There is a museum, which exhibits the pens of the Guru and the weapons of those times and a memorial dedicated to Kalpi Rishi.
