Gurdwara Ghat Sahib

Gurdwara Ghat Sahib is a renowned Gurdwara located at Nangal, about 13 km from Bhakra Dam, in a region made sacred by many battles between Sikhs and Mughals. Situated on the left banks of the Sutlej River, this Gurdwara is dedicated to Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru. Devotees believe that the Guru reached here by crossing the river and blessed this place with his presence. Every year thousands of Sikh pilgrims visit this shrine. Apart from this Gurdwara, there are many other shrines worth visiting.

Accommodation facilities are available for the visitors. The Government of Punjab Tourist Department has set up a Field Hostel in Nangal township where all facilities are provided to visitors. Bhakra Management Board has a guest house, the Sutlej Sadan, where facilities for boarding and lodging are available at reasonable rates. The nearest airport is Chandigarh Airport.
