Gurdwara Dadu Dwara - Narayana

Gurdwara Dadu Dwara-Narayana is a renowned Gurdwara located in a large village named Narayana, about 65 km from Jaipur. Dadu Dwara, the famous center of the Dadupanthis founded by Kabirpanthi saini Dadu, a contemporary of Guru Arjan Dev is located at Narayana. Guru Gobind Singh visited this place in 1706 - 07, and he is said to have saluted the samadhi of Dadu by raising an arrow to it. He was pleased at the vigilance of his followers, when the Sikhs accompanying him objected to his action, pointing out that he himself had prohibited such idolatrous practices. He readily paid the fine imposed on him by them for breaking the religious code. A religious discourse took place here between the Guru and Jait Ram, the Dadupanthi head priest.

A marble-topped platform was constructed around a group of three banyan trees in the outer compound, to commemorate the visit of the Guru.
