Gurdwara Charan Kamal

Situated at Machhiwara in Ludhiana District, Gurdwara Charan Kanwal is one of the renowned Gurdwaras in Punjab. Associated with Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru of the Sikhs, this Gurdwara is noted for its architectural excellence and attracts a large number of devotees. It is located at the site of the garden where Guru Gobind Singh had a sip of water and fell asleep for a short while.

Three devotees named Dhram Singh, Daga Singh and Manu Singh joined Guru Gobind Singh at this place. Every year in December, a congregation fair is held with religious fervor, on the days corresponding to the 9th and 10th of Poh, the days of Guruji's stay at Machhiwara. Gurdwara Chubara Sahib is a nearby attraction. By road, Rupnagar is about 45 km from here.

Gurdwara Charan Kamal Sahib is situated on Charan Kamal Road in the city of Machhiwara, near the bus stand. It is connected by road to Ludhiana-Chandigarh highway at Samrala (42 km) and to Ropar (46 km) by Guru Gobind Singh Marg.
