Gulab Bagh

Gulab Bagh is a spectacular rose garden situated on the lake palace road, near Sajjan Niwas Garden in Udaipur. Founded by Maharana Sajjan Singh in the late 19th Century, the garden has a library (Saraswati Bhawan) with a rich collection of rare books and ancient handwritten manuscripts. Originally called the Victoria Hall, the library is housed in a striking building that was built to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. A mini train, mainly for children, offers a 2 km circular ride around the rose garden. Maharana Pratap Airport and Udaipur City Railway Station are the nearest railway station and airport respectively.
