Gujari Mahal




Gujari Mahal is an archaeological museum, located in Gwalior. The museum houses a variety of rare antiquities, including rarely seen sculptures belonging to AD 1st century. The museum is housed in a palace built in the 15th century. It was built by Raja Mansingh Tomar for his Gujar Queen, Mrignayani who was also a renowned musician. The world renowned sculpture of Gyraspur Shalabhanjika (circa 10th century) is housed in this museum.
