Green Lake

Green Lake is an unspoiled place in North Sikkim District, situated about 4935 m above the mean sea level. In the 1890's, this lake completely disappeared. Now it is the base camp for many expeditions to Twins Peak, Tent Peak, Sugar Loaf and Nepal Peak. Foreigners with valid Inner Line Permit (ILP) and Protected Area Permit are allowed to visit and the best time is from April to June and October to November.
