Goyamara lies on the eastern banks of the
Hooghly, in
South 24 Parganas District of
West Bengal. Nearly 11 km north of this town is
Phulbari.
From Goyamara, one can make excursions to Bakkhali Beach, the ruins of an old lighthouse at Bakkhali, Fraserganj, Mandirtala, Sagar Island, Kapil Muni Temple, Kakdwip Research Centre, Sajnakhali Bird Sanctuary and the island of Jambudwip.
To get here, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport is the closest airport. The nearest major railway station is Sealdah Railway Station.
