Gowri Hunnive is a festival of
Karnataka. It is celebrated by the women folk on the full moon day in the month Kartik. On this occasion the idols of the goddess 137633Gowri / Gauri are worshipped. Young girls move around in small groups, singing songs, praising the goddess.
