Govindamangalam Shri Maha Vishnu Temple




Shri Maha Vishnu Temple is a beautiful shrine, situated at Govindamangalam, near Nemom, at Thiruvananthapuram. Lord Vishnu is the presiding deity of the temple.

Separate shrines are there for the deities Lord Ayyappa, Lord Ganesh, Lord Shiva and Nagaraja. Garlands with Thulasi leaves and fruits, beaten rice with jaggery and butter are the special offerings.

The annual festival organized in the month of March is a major draw, attended by thousands of devotees from far and near. Shankara Balashramam, a shelter for destitute girls and boys, is in close vicinity. Edathara Shri Bhadrakali Temple and Eruthavoor Shri Balasubramanya Swamy Temple are situated nearby.

The nearest major access points to this place are Trivandrum International Airport (18 km) and Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station (10 km).
