Government Museum, established in 1979, is situated at Salem, in Tamil Nadu. The museum exhibits archaeological, anthropological, numismatics, zoological, botanical, geological and objects of children interest. Informative film shows and lectures are conducted occasionally. It also houses a well equipped library. Guide services are provided on request.
Government Museum is open from 09:30 to 17:00 hrs on all days except Fridays, Second Saturdays and public holidays.
