Government Museum is a multi-purpose museum situated at Thirugokarnam, in
Pudukkottai,
Tamil Nadu. Established in 1910, the museum exhibits various artifacts pertaining to arts and industries, anthropology, botany, epigraphy, paintings, numismatics, sculptures and bronzes. The fine sculptures and bronzes of various periods are the main attraction of the museum. The museum also houses an excellent library. Guide services are available for the visitors.
Government Museum is open from 09:30 to 17:00 on all days except Fridays, second Saturdays and public holidays.
