Government Ayurveda College, the only ayurvedic institute of its kind in Central Kerala, is located at Tripunithura in Ernakulam District, Kerala. It is the second oldest ayurveda college in the public sector in Kerala. It is approved by the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi and affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. The college offers both degree and professional courses in ayurveda. The college library has a collection of over 11,000 books with a reference section. Separate hostel facilities are available for both men and women.
