Government Autonomous Post Graduate College is situated on the top of a hillock in the picturesque and enchanting Satpuda valley. It was established as Pandit Motilal Nehru Arts, Science and Commerce College in
1961-62. In 1969-70, college was upgraded as post graduate
college and the name was changed to Government Post Graduate College. In 1993,
University Grants Commission classified it as an autonomous college. It is one of the leading colleges in the district. The college teaches the subjects of law, arts, science and commerce.
