Gossaigaon




Gossaigaon is a town and one of the two revenue sub-divisions of Kokrajhar District . It also serves as the headquarters of Gossaigaon sub-division. The river Gongia, also known as Tipkai, flows through the boundary of the revenue sub-divisions. Guwabari Silkworm Rearing Center, which produces large quantities of silkworm cocoons, is just 5 km from the town. Agriculture is the main occupation of the people.

At 2 km from the town is the railway station and the airport is at Borjhar. The National Highway 31, which passes through Gossaigaon, makes the place highly accessible.
