Gopalprasad

Gopalprasad is a scenic village situated in Angul District of Orissa. It is about 14 km from Talcher.

People here worship Goddess Hingula, who is believed to be the agni (fire) in the kitchen of Lord Jagannath at Puri, with great devotion. Hingula Yatra is observed here for nine days during the month of Chaitra (March-April), which is attended by thousands of people. Nearby lies an open cast coal mine.

Talcher Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
