Situated along the Indo-Bangladesh border, Golakganj is a small town in
Dhubri District. The town, 16 km north-west of the district headquarters of
Dhubri, lies on the banks of the Sankosh.
The nearby places of interest include the towns of Gauripur and Dhubri where Panch peer Dargah and the Gurdwara of Guru Teg Bahadur are located. The town has Golakganj Rail Station as its main railhead.
