Situated in
Dhemaji District, Gogamukh is a small town on the National Highway 52. It is bordered by Gogamukh Tajik in the west, Chauldhoa Baligaon in the north, Bordoloni in the east, and Dhapaliagaon in the south. The town is very close to the scenic village of Gerukamukh. Subansiri Hydel Project at Gerukamukh is the main attraction.
The town has its own meter gauge railhead. The nearest broad gauge railhead is at Nagaon.
