Goddess Lalitha

Goddess Lalitha, associated with Sri Chakra, is an aspect of Parvati. She was born from a sacrifice performed by Lord Indra. She is associated with the killing of a demon Bhandasura and the destruction of his city Sonitapura. The abode of Lalitha is Sripura, a city built by Vishwakarma. She resides there with her consort Kameshwara, a manifestation of Lord Shiva.

She is portrayed as a beautiful, brilliant, soft and refined Goddess. She holds a stem of sugarcane, arrow, the goad (ankusa) and noose, with Sri Chakra drawn at her feet.
