Girgaon




Girgaon is a small settlement in Pithoragarh District, Uttaranchal, close to the district border with Bageshwar District. It is on the trekking route connecting Munsiyari and Tejam. Didihat is the nearest major town.

A branch of the Ramganga River, a rain-fed river originating near Gairsain in the Lesser Himalayas, flows close to this village. Some of the nearby places are Kuiti, Arkhet, Tiksain, Madkot, Walthi and Bansbagar.

Girgaon can be accessed by local buses and taxies from Didihat. The nearest major airport is Pant Nagar Airport. Tanakpur Railway Station serves this area.
