Ghuman

Ghuman is a bewitching village 10 km west of Sri Hargobindpur in Gurdaspur District. This village was the seat of residence of Namdev, a highly revered saint of Maharashtra. There is an ancient temple that dates back to 14th century, with a sacred tank attached to it.

Main attraction of Ghuman is a historic shrine named Darbar Sahib Baba Namdev Ji. This gurdwara has an octagonal domed room and marble lined platform. There is a brass sheet featuring the figure of Bhagat Namdev. The Samadhi of the principal disciple of Namdev, called Baba Bahur Das, is located nearby. An annual fair, attended by thousands, is held here on 1 and 2 Magh.
