Ghosrawan




Ghosrawan is an ancient village located just 5 km from Pawapuri, Patna District. It is believed that this place was a renowned Buddhist monastery visited by Hiuen Tsang, the Chinese traveler. Major point of attraction at Ghosrawan is a gigantic Buddha statue. This statue, located by the side of a river, measures 10 ft high and is built of shiny black stones. Tetrawan village, famous for a temple and a museum, is a few kilometers south of Ghosrawan. The village museum showcases Buddha statues excavated from the area. Accommodation facilities are available at Jain pilgrim’s rest. The nearby railway stations are Rajgir railway station and Gaya Railway Station. Patna Airport is the nearest airport.
